If the booking fee is not paid your appointment will be cancelled. If matting is present, an additional £5–£20 fee will apply. Severe matting may require clipping shorter than requested for welfare reasons. Removing matted coats carries increased risks including clipper irritation, skin catching, and hematomas. Harriet & Hound are not responsible for any complications or injury as a result of the dogs coat condition. We are unable to view a dogs skin when it is matted so we are unable to check for any parasites, hot spots, cists and other skin issues or abnormalities. When enquiring please inform us of any matting.Muzzles may be used at the groomer’s discretion to ensure safety.Owners must disclose any history of aggression, reactivity, anxiety, or biting at the time of enquiring.Owners must make Harriet & Hound aware of any pre existing medical issues, skin issues, allergies or parasites.Harriet & Hound will terminate your appointment immediately if we find your dog has fleas or other parasites. If a dog becomes unsafe to groom, the session may be modified, stopped early, or refused and the full payment will still be required.Late Collection: Late pick-up may incur a fee. Harriet & Hound is a 1–2–1 salon and dogs cannot be held past the agreed pick-up time. Repeated late collections may result in a termination of future services. If the dog has not been collected and Harriet & Hound cannot reach the owner or alternative contact (if provided with one) additional charges may apply. If the dog remains uncollected after all reasonable contact has been attempted and failed, Harriet & Hound reserves the right to contact the relevant authorities or animal welfare for assistance.Late drop off: Due to being a 1-2-1 studio if your dog is late arriving we may have to terminate the groom due to scheduling conflicts and not having adequate time to groom your dog.
